Study Summary

Benign esophageal stricture refers to a narrowing of the esophagus (the tube from the mouth to the stomach). It causes swallowing difficulties for thousands of people in the United States each year.

Tandem Clinical Research is looking for volunteers with benign esophageal strictures for a research study of an investigational device. To qualify, you must:

be 22 years of age or older
have a current diagnosis of symptomatic esophageal stricture
have had at least two previous dilations in the past 12 months
be willing to undergo a medical procedure to treat their current stricture
be willing to participate in the study and attend all study follow-up visits

If you qualify for a trial, you will be compensated for your time and travel. These amounts vary per study. Your compensation amount will be described in the informed consent document.

Are Clinical Trials Safe?

Your safety is our highest priority. The ethical and legal codes that govern medical practice also apply to clinical trials, and most clinical research is federally regulated with built-in safeguards to protect participants.
